Specified site examinations (optional examinations)

Once each fiscal year, the Hitachi Health Insurance Society subsidizes specified site examinations not included in the basic health checkups (i.e., complete medical checkups, abbreviated complete medical checkups, health checkups for women, and periodic health checkups). (Items of specified site examinations that are included in complete medical checkups or other basic health checkups are not eligible for subsidy as specified site examinations.)

  • * No subsidy will be provided for ineligible examination items and examination methods.
(Examples: uterine body cancer screening, breast cancer screening by palpation only)
  • * No subsidy will be provided for examinations received using a health insurance card (treated as insured medical consultation and treatment).

  • * You must pay the full cost up front for a specified site examination undergone individually (e.g., receiving a brain MR examination only), even if it was conducted by an examining institution under contract to the Hitachi Health Insurance Society.
  • * Also check the information provided by your establishment concerning health checkups.
Follow the instructions provided by the establishment if the establishment coordinates procedures for health checkups and subsidy applications.
