Notice of mistaken upload of personal information to an external generative AI service by a subcontractor
The Society has been notified by RIZAP, Inc., a subcontractor providing specific health guidance services,
that some information on persons subject to specific health guidance was mistakenly uploaded to an external generative AI service.
The Society wishes to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or concern this incident has caused to the persons concerned.
The Society takes this case very seriously and will further strengthen its supervision and management of subcontractors and strive to prevent its recurrence.
The Society will also suspend acceptance of new applications for specific health guidance provided by RIZAP, Inc. until it has confirmed that effective measures to prevent recurrence are in place.
We have confirmed that there is no possibility that the mistakenly uploaded information was viewed by an unspecified number of users or used to train generative AI.
RIZAP, Inc. will contact the persons concerned individually.
