The insured person died while a dependent was being treated on an outpatient basis. Can the dependent continue to use his or her Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate(Postcard Format)?
Dependents’ medical care expenses under health insurance are paid to the insured person.
If the insured person dies, there will be no eligible recipient for such benefits,
and the Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate (postcard format) can no longer be used from the day following the date of death.
If a Health Insurance Eligibility Certificate (postcard format) has been issued, please return it promptly to the Health Insurance Society.
However, if it has already expired, you may dispose of it yourself.
Please enroll in the National Health Insurance system or another medical insurance program.
