Can I make my common-law spouse a dependent?
If the common-law spouse have lived together for at least three years and are socially recognized as a married couple, such as living together as one family, they can be considered as dependents.
We will make a decision after strictly verifying the record of cohabitation and other factors.
If you have a legal spouse, your common-law spouse cannot be your dependent.
