I underwent costly cosmetic surgery. Is this eligible for High-Cost Medical Care Benefits?
High-Cost Medical Care Benefits are paid for health-insurance copayments. Since treatment conducted solely for aesthetic purposes, such as surgery for double-edged eyelids, is not covered by insurance, it is not eligible for High-Cost Medical Care Benefits either. However, certain types of cosmetic surgery covered by insurance are eligible for High-Cost Medical Care Benefits.
