I was injured while mountain climbing and was examined on an emergency basis at a hospital that wasn’t an insurance medical care facility. I paid the entire cost of the medical care myself. Am I eligible to be reimbursed?
You can receive a partial reimbursement of medical care expenses you paid the cost yourself up front under circumstances in which it would have been difficult to obtain treatment from an insurance medical care facility—for example, when being treated for a sudden illness or injury at a hospital that is not an insurance medical care facility because no insurance medical care facility is located in the vicinity.
