Can I still receive the Maternity Allowance if I give birth after leaving my employer?

You will be paid the Maternity Allowance in the same way as if you remained employed if you maintained your coverage as a mandatory insured person for a minimum of one year through the day before the date you lost your eligibility and you were paid the Maternity Allowance or met the conditions for such payment at the time you lost your eligibility as an insured person.
