I would like to remain covered as a dependent while employed. Are there any conditions that apply to my employment?

A base salary income requirement applies to dependents. Those whose salary income does not exceed this base amount are eligible for coverage as dependents.
However, if your employer offers health insurance, that insurance takes precedence. You cannot remain a member of the Hitachi Health Insurance Society even if your salary does not exceed the base amount.
Even part-time employees and others working limited hours may be able to join health insurance as part-time insured persons if they meet certain conditions.
If you joined your employer’s health insurance society, you will need to complete procedures to withdraw from the Hitachi Health Insurance Society. Please submit the Notification of Health Insurance Dependent Change (Removal) (T-012).
